Cell Phones

Cell phones, pagers and PDAs contain toxic heavy metals such as lead, mercury and arsenic and should be turned in for recycling. RecycleWorks sends cell phones, pagers and PDAs to an organization called Collective Good, which sorts and safely processes the phones. Newer phones are refurbished and sold in developing countries for use. Older phones are taken apart and recycled for metal and plastic.
