Creative Reuse Projects

  • Create colorful envelopes out of an old magazine with your class to use for letters or to put on display to encourage recycling of old paper products.

  • Make recycled paper from household items.

  • Visit the Imagination Factory and discover over one hundred lessons and art activities on how to reuse materials that would otherwise be thrown out as trash. Go to their Trash Matcher to find out which piece of solid waste can be made into a specific art project. For students that are Brownies or Girls Scouts this site contains the Badge Matcher; an easy way to learn about art and craft projects that meet certain badge requirements.
