Peninsula Habitat for Humanity Icon Habitat for Humanity Peninsula Habitat for Humanity now called Habitat for Humanity Greater San Francisco, is a local affiliate of Habitat for Humanity International that partners with families in need, along with community volunteers and donors, to build affordable ownership homes on the Peninsula. These homes allow families working in service, manufacturing, retail and other sectors to live near their jobs in decent, safe, permanent homes. In 19 years, Habitat has built more than 100 homes throughout San Mateo County. Currently they are building eight homes in Redwood City. Giving information Pets in Need
Pets in need icon Pets In Need's mission is to bring a loving, healthy home within "paw's reach" of every adoptable dog and cat in our community. The organization brings back dogs and cats from public shelters when publicly funded Open Door Shelters have run out of space and the animals are at immediate risk of being put to death if they are not rescued by Pets In Need. Pets In Need rescues dogs and cats that are suitable for adoption. Donation information This Redwood City organization can be reached: (650) 367-1405
