Save the Forest One Flush at a Time

When nature calls...

Have you ever thought about what the toilet paper you use is made from? Most toilet paper on the market is made from trees. However, you can buy toilet paper made from recycled paper at almost all mainstream grocery stores and in many cases it is cheaper than the non–recycled toilet paper. To see a list of manufacturers using recycled-content paper in toilet paper and other home products, see the Natural Resources Defense Council's Guide to Home Tissue Products. Generally speaking, if a package doesn't say the contents made from recycled paper, they aren't. The Council's article describes the impact of disposable tissue production on forests.
