Build it Green is a non-profit membership organization whose mission is to promote healthy, energy and resource-efficient building practices in California. U.S. Green Building Council - Northern California Chapter:
The USGBC is a national coalition of architects, designers, government agencies (including the County of San Mateo), engineers, contractors, financial institutions, and others. Their LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) rating system is an internationally recognized set of performance standards that can guide the development of a green building. GreenHomeGuide offers unbiased green building product reviews and project advice from professionals and homeowners. GreenHomeGuide also offers a product directory juried by green building professionals.

BuildingGreen.com:
BuildingGreen.com is an independent publishing company committed to disseminating accurate, unbiased, and timely green design information, primarily through the Environmental Building News newsletter. BuildingGreen also offers a product directory.

Toolbase Services:
Toolbase Services is a clearinghouse of design and construction guides, performance reports, case studies and innovative product links for green building.

Environmental Protection Agency:
The EPA has links to the federal agencies that work on green building issues and relevant program funding sources.

National Renewable Energy Laboratory:
The U.S. Department of Energy's premier laboratory for renewable energy research & development and a leading lab for energy efficiency R&D.

Healthy Building Network:
The Healthy Building Network is national network of green building professionals, environmental and health activists, socially responsible investment advocates and others who are interested in promoting healthier building materials as a means of improving public health and preserving the global environment.
